What are you thankful for?

Each year, we start off the holiday season with Thanksgiving, the day we join our friends and family and remember all of the things we are thankful for. We at MADD Nebraska, are thankful for so much. We are thankful for the people who open themselves up and share with us the most difficult time in their lives. The victims of impaired driving are the heart of MADD and we are thankful they turn to us for help.  We are thankful for our volunteers. People driven to make a difference. They all come to us in different ways, but each and every one has the passion to change the world. It is their time, talents and drive that create change and help us create the foundation for a safer state.  We are thankful for our partners, Law Enforcement, Probation and all of those who are part of the team working day and night to keep Nebraska safe from drunk driving. Their lives are on the line so we can rest easy at night and we thank them and their families for the sacrifices they make for all of us.

So, what are you thankful for? The person that held your hand when you needed support, the officer who helped keep you safe, your family who is always there for you. As we celebrate the holiday season, remember to tell those you are thankful for just how much they mean in your life. We too often get caught up in the business of rushing here to there and forget how far a simple thank you can go.

As for us here at MADD Nebraska, today, we are thankful for you.
