A Happy & Safe Holiday

Posted: December 11, 2013 in Uncategorized

A happy holiday is a safe holiday.

Each year around this time we all start to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of the season. There are gifts to buy and trees to decorate, cookies to bake and parties to attend. It is in this craziness of the season that we so often forget one of the most important things we need each holiday season, a plan.

Many times holiday events include alcohol, so this year, before you head out the door, make sure you have a plan for how you are getting home. MADD encourages everyone to make a plan to have a non-drinking driver to take them home this holiday season, and all year round. By making your plan of how to get home as important as your plan of what to do, you are keeping yourself, your family and everyone else on the road safe.  Alcohol-related crashes typically spike during time from Thanksgiving to New Years, with more people traveling on the roads, wintery conditions and adding alcohol to the mix, the holidays are dangerous on the roads. So, this holiday season, we ask you to make a plan, save a life and always buckle your seatbelt.

The MADD Nebraska Family wishes your family a safe and happy holiday season!
